To everyone that has seasonal allergies, you know that they are the worst. From the itchy, red eyes to the random sneezing to the sore throat, allergies just make your day and mood so much worse when you should be enjoying the beautiful spring weather! There are many natural remedies that can be used to fight allergies and can be coupled with allergy medication.

Red Onions

Red Onions contain the water-soluble chemical called Quercentin which acts as an antihistamine and reduces the symptoms of allergies on your body. Take a pitcher with 4 cups of water and slice one red onion into it. You can add honey for taste, and drink it throughout the day.

Nettle Leaf

Nettle is known herb and a natural anti-histamine that supresses allergies. The leaf can be added to tea alongside peppermint or red raspberry for flavour and consumed that way. In addition, you can find nettle leaf capsules in organic stores or the vitamin and supplement section in a local store, which is a stronger medium.

Apple Cider

One teaspoon of apple cider with “The Mother” into a glass of water does wonders for seasonal allergies. The mother is found in raw, organic apple cider and contains strand-like enzymes of connected protein molecules. This mixture is proven to reduce the symptoms of allergies!

Neti Pot

A neti-pot may seem scary to use originally however it is recommended by many doctors and health-care professionals. By pouring a sterile, saline solution through your nose it clears out any mucus or irritant material out of your nostril.

These 4 methods are scientifically proven and will help you get out of the house and not let your allergies get the best of you!
